Frequently Asked Questions
What does No Win, No Fee mean?
We handle your case on a 'No Win, No Fee' Read more basis. There are no upfront payments, and you will only pay our fees if your claim is successful. This risk-free policy ensures you can pursue compensation without worrying about financial loss if the claim is unsuccessful. Our case handlers will be fully committed to achieving the best possible outcome for you.
If we win your claim, a nominal fee of between 18% to 36% (including VAT) will be deducted from your compensation. If you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period, you may still be charged for any work undertaken at a rate of £139-£282 per hour (exclusive of VAT at 20%).
Can I claim on my own?
You don't need to use a law firm or a claims management company to make a car finance claim. You can submit the claim yourself for free. If your claim is rejected or you are dissatisfied with your lender's response, you can refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) yourself for free. You should first complain to the provider before escalating the complaint to the FOS.
The FCA has announced a consumer redress scheme. Under this scheme, you do not need to register a complaint to be eligible for or receive compensation. You also do not need to use a claims management company or a law firm to access the scheme.
There are benefits to choosing us to manage the claim on your behalf. We will handle all communication with the lender. If the finance provider has any difficulty locating your details, we will work with them to ensure your claim progresses smoothly. After registering with us, you can sit back and relax while we handle everything on your behalf. We will keep you updated on the progress of your claim at every stage via email.
What work will you carry out on my behalf?
We will act on your behalf to pursue any potential compensation for mis-sold car finance that you may be entitled to. Some of the steps we may take include gathering documentation to ensure you have a valid case, issuing your complaint to the lender, seeking formal acknowledgement of the complaint, estimating the potential value, providing you with legal advice, and reviewing offers of redress to ensure they are proportionate.
When will I be paid?
The FCA announced the final details of its redress scheme in March 2026. However, the scheme is now subject to multiple legal challenges. Therefore, there is now a delay in when payouts are expected. The case isn't expected to be heard before October 2026, so consumers aren't likely to receive compensation until late 2026 at the earliest. For more information, please refer to the FCA's website.
What paperwork do I need to submit my claim?
After entering your personal details and finance agreement information into our system, we will require photographic ID (such as a passport or driver's license) and a signed letter of authority, which you can complete online. The letter of authority grants us the legal authority to contact the lender on your behalf and ensures that we can handle your claim effectively. We will be in touch if we need any more supporting documents from you.
What are my rights?
Consumer protection laws are in place to safeguard your rights. If you were misled about the financial terms or conditions of your car finance agreement, you might have a valid basis for a claim. Legally, you are entitled to complete and accurate information about the terms of your contract.
Can I claim for multiple cars?
Absolutely, you can submit claims for more than one car if you were misled in multiple PCP or HP agreements. However, keep in mind that the rules and processes may vary for each vehicle, depending on the specifics of the agreements and any relevant legal precedents regarding those misrepresentations.
How much will I get?
The FCA published its final redress rules in March 2026, stating that it expects most consumers to receive around £829 per agreement, though some will get more and others will get less. The methodology for calculating redress depends on various factors. The FCA says that in the most serious cases, which only affect a small number of agreements, consumers will get back 100% of the commission paid, plus interest. For most consumers, compensation will be based on the average of the estimated overpayment and the commission paid, plus interest.
